Frequently Asked Questions

✅ General Ticketing & Platform Usage

How much is your percentage from the ticket?
We charge a 6% platform fee on every ticket sold. This helps us cover platform maintenance, payment processing, and customer support.
How long will you hold the money after selling tickets?
Funds are released within 15–48 hours upon request. This gives us time to validate the transaction history and ensure a smooth payout process. You can track all your sales, revenue, and requests in real time from your organizer dashboard.
How do I request for my ticket sales payout?
To request your funds, simply email us at finance@ticketyanga.com with your event name and the amount expected. Our finance team will process and release your payment within 15–48 hours.
How will financial reconciliation be handled after my event?
You can track all your sales, revenue, and requests in real time from your organizer dashboard.
Can people buy tickets without creating an account?
Yes. Buyers do not need an account. They simply choose an event, enter their email, and pay via Airtel, Mpamba, or bank.
How fast do customers receive tickets after payment?
Immediately. Once payment is confirmed, the customer instantly receives their e-ticket via email with a unique QR code. A downloadable ticket is also available just right after a successful transaction.
What payment methods are supported?
We support Airtel Money, Mpamba, and bank payments. More integrations are coming soon.
Is there an offline/USSD option for people without smartphones?
We're developing a USSD option to support users with basic phones. This will allow bookings through simple numeric inputs.

✅ Ticket Security & Scanning

How do you prevent people from duplicating tickets?
Every ticket has a unique QR code that can only be scanned once. Once scanned, it's marked as "used" in the system.
Can one ticket be used by multiple people?
No. One ticket admits one person only. Attempting to reuse it will trigger a warning and block entry.
What happens if someone screenshots a QR and shares it?
Only the first scan is accepted. Any repeated scans (including screenshots) are automatically rejected by the system.
What devices can be used to scan tickets at the gate?
You can scan tickets using any smartphone, tablet, or laptop with a camera. Scanning works directly in the browser—no app needed.
